Our History
The Beauty and Bands College dream and mandate was received from God. It took its cue from Green Pastures Ministry; a ministry to the less-privileged and average people in the society. Rev'd Adebayo & Dr (Mrs) Felicia Oluwafemi Aibinuomo received a 'Master key' vision to reach out to forgotten and less-influential area of Ibadan in 1987. Several efforts have been put in place to reach out to rural and poor citizens of this country. A Christian Mission School has always been part of our dream since the inception of our call to serve humanity physically, spiritually and emotionally.
In 2013, as we were searching the scriptures we stumbled on the book of Zechariah Chapter 11 verse seven, which reads '….and I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock........the one I called BEAUTY and the other
I called BANDS; and I fed them [flock]. Coincidentally, Baba (WO II) Mathew Olawuyi Olatide, during his life time, was fondly called ‘BBC’ in the Nigerian Military because of his flair for (always) carrying his transistor radio around with him. It is noteworthy to mention that Pa Mathew was the father of Dr Felicia Oluwafemi Aibinuomo; he was a gallant Soldier who fought for Nigeria Unity during the Biafra war between 1967 and 1970 alongside his involvement in his service in the Republic of Congo.
The Beauty and Bands vision took-off in September 2020 (after several failed attempts) with about nine students, four teachers, and a Board of Directors as a support system operating on our own building and property. As at then, the building was still under construction when the school resumed
Expectedly, the school started moves to get the necessary approval from the government in due course; the first visitation and approval was conducted by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of works respectively, early in year 2000. A formidable team of the LOCAL INSPECTOR OF EDUCATION (LIE) visited the school on 5th November 2021. Moreover, the First major event of the School took place on 17th December 2020 with students, teachers and Parents coming together to sing the CHRISTMAS CAROL.
By 18 December 2020, the College vacated as officially pronounced by the Oyo State government being end of First Term 2020/2021 academic year.
